LABSUL PARTICIPATES IN INTERNATIONAL EVENT ON RELIGIOUS FREEDOM AND INTERNET IN BRASÍLIA

From August 8 to 10, 2023, the International Center for Studies in Law and Religion, ICLRS, the School of Law at Brigham Young University, BYU (USA), in collaboration with the Brazilian Center for Studies in Law and Religion, CEDIRE, a research group based at the Faculty of Law of the Federal University of Uberlândia, UFU (Brazil), organized the II Brazilian Symposium on Religious Freedom, in Brasília-DF, at the Centro Cultural Brasil 21.

The event occurred under the general theme “Building bridges, breaking barriers: The role of religious freedom in building a free, fair and solidary society.”

​

Plenary and parallel sessions addressed topics related to international diplomacy, inter-religious dialogue, internet and social media, social relations, culture, labor issues, etc.

A representative of LABSUL presented, within Parallel Session I, “Freedom of Religion or Belief and Freedom of Expression: contemporary challenges,” the seminar on “Metaverse and Religious Freedom.”
