LABSUL LAUNCHES EDUCATIONAL BOOKLET “EDUCATING FOR THE GAME”

This educational booklet was created to assist those who gamble. In Brazil, online gaming and fixed-odds betting are authorized. This means that citizens have the right to choose whether or not they want to gamble.

If they choose to gamble, LabSul has created a booklet containing all bettors’ rights and operators’ obligations.

Basic tips for identifying legal (authorized) Bets and the self-control tools available to users, with the aim of preventing addiction or excessive financial losses.

We hereby state that we believe banning Bets in Brazil should not be an option, insofar as the unequivocal consequence would be the growth of the illegal market, where, inevitably, there are no rules, much less responsible gambling.

LabSul reiterates its commitment to freedom, democracy, and freedom of choice, while also maintaining that public policies on education, market oversight, and protections for consumers/bettors must necessarily be pursued and implemented by the public and private sectors and by society as a whole.

Banning an activity will not put an end to it; it is already culturally embedded in the lives of Brazilians. Education, regulatory improvements, government oversight, and an informed society seem to us to be the best path forward.
