LABSUL PRESENTS A GUIDE TO THE CREATOR ECONOMY IN BRAZIL

LabSul presents the Guide to the Creator Economy in Brazil, a publication dedicated to understanding the digital content creation ecosystem, its various activities, commercial relationships, and business models.

The Creator Economy encompasses a diverse range of agents, platforms, services, and economic activities. Although it is often associated with digital influencers, its structure involves different forms of content production, distribution, monetization, and intermediation.

The guide seeks to organize this universe by distinguishing concepts and functions that are often treated as equivalent but represent different positions within the ecosystem.

Six dimensions for understanding the sector

One of the publication’s central elements is the organization of the Creator Economy around six complementary dimensions:

  • Agent: who participates in the ecosystem.

  • Format and channel: how and where activities are carried out.

  • Function: what role is performed.

  • Economic relationship: how agents relate to one another.

  • Business and monetization: how activities generate value and revenue.

  • Intermediation and infrastructure: which services and structures enable these relationships.

This approach makes it possible to understand that the same participant may perform different functions, operate across multiple formats, and establish distinct economic relationships.

In addition to its conceptual organization, the guide addresses issues related to advertising, commercial relationships, monetization, and the regulatory challenges associated with the sector.

By systematizing these elements, the publication helps enhance the public debate and provide references for research, analysis, and the formulation of public policies related to the digital economy.
