LABSUL JOINS THE MONITORING COMMITTEE FOR THE CONTENT RATING POLICY

LabSul, Laboratório de Estratégias Regulatórias e Políticas Públicas, is joining the Comitê de Acompanhamento pela Sociedade Civil para a Classificação Indicativa (CASC-ClassInd), at the invitation of the Secretaria Nacional de Direitos Digitais (SEDIGI) of the Ministério da Justiça e Segurança Pública.

This participation expands LabSul’s institutional presence in an area directly related to its research and activities, particularly in debates on digital rights, new technologies, regulation, and the protection of children and adolescents.

CASC is a civil society participation forum associated with the Política de Classificação Indicativa. Federal regulations currently provide for its role as a mechanism to enable and expand social participation in this public policy.

LabSul is joining the Committee at a time of transformation in the digital environment, marked by the expansion of platforms, electronic games, applications, streaming services, and other interactive environments. In this context, LabSul intends to contribute to discussions on monitoring and improving the Classificação Indicativa in a technical, constructive, and collaborative manner.

LabSul will be represented by Letícia Saraiva Ferraz Borges, Executive Director, as the primary representative, and by Vivian Maria Caxambu Graminho, Director of Projects and Operations, as the alternate representative.

For LabSul, participation in CASC-ClassInd represents an opportunity to place its experience and technical output at the service of dialogue between civil society and government in a policy that has been taking on new dimensions in light of technological transformations.
